    Thanks Beach Blast!!!

    It really was a Good Friday…
    Beach Volleyball, as many of you that play it know, is an unbelievable game for so many reasons.  It’s played on the beach next to the water with the sun beating down bronzing our pale Canadian winter skin.  It’s a sport where you choose your partner and if you are lucky enough to have a coach, there again, it is your choice who.  The game is extremely simple and rewarding when you do the simple things well (beach volleyball enthusiasts, however, are constantly complicating the game instead of focusing on the pass and the serve…I digress). 
    I feel extremely fortunate to have been able to do this is as my job for the past 6 years. 

    Many of us love the game so much that we are willing to start playing indoors to prepare for the real beach season and the real beach game which begins the day we move from Beach Blast to Ash Bridges Bay.  That day arrived last Friday on Easter weekend. 
    Beach Blast is a wonderful facility here in Toronto to hone your beach game while the frost is still nipping at your nose.  “The Blast” has been great to us over the years in allowing us to use their facilities.  The truth, however, is that we really can’t wait to get outdoors and play the game we love in its purest form…
