Silver Lining in a Missed Opportunity…

Last night was really why I play the game.
Under the lights, on court two, with most of our volleyball peers looking on, a great full crowd, a ball, a net, and my partner. Ill skip ahead and let you know that we lost, but the feeling of both teams battling so well and playing at such a great level really was something to smile about. Losing was definitely tough. To have such a great opportunity to finish in the Top 10 or better and to let it slip away with a call on my hands and an easy ball drop during the 3rd set will stay with me for a while. But the experience of complete calm between my partner and I. An acute level of effortless focus. Fully immersed in what were doing and playing so creatively. It was such a natural and amazing hour of volleyball.
We are going to do some sightseeing today and we are off to Poland tomorrow to bring our “Roman Gladiator” attitude to the sands of Myslowice.
