Klagenfurt

Without a doubt, Klagenfurt is the best beach volleyball tournament in the world. Manhattan Beach cannot compete with the job that they do here in Austria. Professional chefs are flown in to cook for the players in a tent next to the Worthersee, the lake that you see behind us. Center court is a constant packed house of 8,000 crazy fans rain or shine (I just returned from center court in the rain at 9am!!). The side events, or players parties, are unique, to say the leas,t and the main draw hotel has a check mark beside all of your creature comforts. It makes for a great week in Austria. Redmann and I had a great match in the qualifier except for the last point. Pictured with me is Dane Selznick. He is an American friend who seems to always keep Christian and I in stitches when we things get tough. THanks for the laughs, Dane.
We leave for Poland on Sunday.
