Fashion’s not my Forte

If you look closely (actually, its glaringly obvious…)at the photo above, you will notice the draw string hanging out of the back of my shorts. Apparently, before this match I was in such a hurry to change that I didn’t think to see if my shorts were facing the right way. So, rather than our tight match against the Brazilians, my “tight around the groin” fashion sense was the post-match scuttlebutt!! Not surprising to most of you that know me…
We are leaving Poland for Toronto in the morning for a week of training and physio from my great buddy Kenny at Core Strength Toronto who seems to put my weary body back together like a mechanic working on a classic engine.
Our result here in Poland was a disappointing 25th. We lost both of our matches in the main draw to teams that finished in the top ten. Against Poland we had several missed point opportunities in the third set that we were unable to convert. Those are the matches that hurt the most. Opportunities to win a match that you just don’t take advantage of and you are quickly on the outside looking in.On the other hand, we know that we are close. Every match that we have lost this year has either gone 3 sets or has gone into extra points. Our next opportunity will be in the Grand Slam in Moscow in two weeks. Its still early and we have a lot left to show this year!!
